What is a Chuluota?

Chuluota (pronounced Choo-lee-oh-tah) is an unincorporated area in Seminole County, Florida just 22 miles east of downtown Orlando and 6 miles from University of Central Florida.  Chuluota's name derived from the Creek Indian language which means "isle of pines", "pine island" or "beautiful land of lakes and pines" (depending upon who you ask).  Chalet Chuluota is the name given to this home and center for retreat owned by Amy and Lindy.    

This amazing home and center for retreat features cypress rafters that soar 32 feet high and frame a wall of windows overlooking 69 acres of Horseshoe Lake. With a private dock, fish jumping, otters playing, birds chirping, pines whispering, hiking and mountain biking trails within walking distance, Chalet Chuluota is the perfect setting for retreating from the buzz of life.
